“Swedbank” Vilnius Marathon Participants’ Life and Accident Insurance

Whichever distance of this year’s “Swedbank” Vilnius Marathon you choose, you can focus solely on reaching the finish line. “Swedbank” has already taken care of life and accident insurance for all marathon participants.

Who is covered and when?

• All “Swedbank” Vilnius Marathon participants who have chosen one of the following distances: marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, “Swedbank” 3 km walk, or children’s run.
• The insurance will be valid on September 13, 2026, from 00:00 to 24:00.

What insurance benefits are available?

• In the event of an insured accident resulting in an injury, the insured person will be entitled to an insurance benefit of up to EUR 10,000, depending on the nature of the injury and the injury table included in the insurance rules.
• In the event of the insured person’s death as a result of an insured accident, the heirs will be entitled to a EUR 10,000 life insurance benefit.

What to do in the event of an accident?

1. Visit a doctor within 48 hours of the accident.
2. Submit a claim for the insurance benefit, together with confirmation of registration for the “Swedbank Vilnius Marathon 2026” (received by email after registration and payment), as well as any other required documents (e.g. an extract from the “E. sveikata” health portal). You can do this via “Insurance” > “In the event of an accident” in “Swedbank” internet banking or at your nearest “Swedbank” branch.

Important: Please review the insurance rules for the list of exclusions, the injury table and corresponding benefit amounts, the benefit payment procedure, and other important information. Please note that an insurance benefit will not be paid if the accident is related to driving under the influence, chronic or other illnesses, or other excluded circumstances specified in the insurance rules.
